What is meant by growing hydroponicly?

Hydroponics, means working water, it is simply gardening without soil.

With a hydroponic system you are supplying the plant with what it

needs, when it needs it. When growing plants hydroponicly

you are being far more "earth friendly" than conventional gardeners

could ever be. You can get the best from your plants,  because you

can control the variables instead of leaving it up to the soil.

Growing hydroponicly you use 70 to 90 percent less water then

you use in conventional dirt gardening. When you grow hydroponicly

there is no fertilizer lost to rain run off. So you have water conservation

and the non-pollution of lakes and streams, which are major plus values.

When you grow hydroponicly (indoors, or outdoors) it is you who

controls the seasons not Mother Nature. This makes the growing season

all year round, not just a few months every year. However when

growing   hydroponicly you are replacing the sun and it can be a

relatively expensive proposition.
